Class Descriptions:

Embodied Conscious Connection
We bring everything that’s happening inside of us to the connection with another person, whether that connection is mental, physical, or emotional. This class focuses on teaching you how to drop into deeper energetic presence with yourself, so that you may be exquisitely present with another person, both in conversational and emotional connections, and in the physical realm of partner dancing. Through mindfulness exercises, eye gazing, conscious relating, and conscious touch and breathing exercises, we will slowly build to creating a powerful dance connection from the ground up! This class will teach you how to connect so deeply that you forget you are two bodies, and feel you are moving as one.

About the Instructor:

Ania is a transformational coach and couples counselor. She loves teaching people to connect with their own hearts, and to create a conscious heart connection with another person. In 2012, Ania founded the Institute for Optimal Living, a collective of transformational growth facilitators. Her work is inspired by positive psychology, interpersonal and evolutionary neurobiology, and tantric and shamanic lineages.

She started Shades of Blues in SF in 2009, the world’s first weekly dance venue focused on partner dancing to modern and electronic music, an offshoot of blues dancing. She later sold Shades to focus on her coaching practice and Shades continues to be the most popular dance venue around for fusion blues dancing. Ania has recently taught fusion partner dance at Metta Dance.
